"Neo-Nazi Satanism", The Larson Interview

Here we take some measure of pride in presenting to you what was billed as "Neo-Nazi Satanism".
When it originally aired in the summer of 1993 - and ever since it was and has been considered somewhat of a romp.
We hadn't - in the variety of websites I've been associated with in recent years - picked it up for the reason that it was supposedly "all over the place” anyway and why bother.
But now here it is for those of you who may never have had the chance to see it. That along with the three-decades-delayed "re-match" between Bob Larson and myself from a couple of years ago.
I'll have more to say about Satanism in the months to come but I feel I must include some of those comments now to accompany this presentation.
The person known then as Michael Jenkins who was responsible for that first edition of Siege the anthology that spring of 1993 was in actuality "high priest” in Anton LaVey's Church of Satan, pure and simple.
Then, just as now, I don't turn down offers of good help. And to be sure, we all owe Michael Jenkins a great debt of gratitude for his vision and his effort.
However, as you watch, I don't think you’ll encounter any mention at all of "Satan", either from me or from Larson. In fact, it was all Larson's idea to title the thing and package it as "Neo-Nazi Satanism". After all, he was and is in this to make money and he must convince enough people that he is "fighting Satan" to be able to maintain this.
Within Siege I borrow only once from the writings of Anton Lavey as he bellows triumphantly over the defeat of his enemies, chest-thumping a’ la King Köng. When that particular issue of Siege went out, I had just emerged from a deadly contest wherein the professionals had told me that to win was an impossibility. And so I was feeling rather like Napoleon after Austerlitz. LaVeys's words fit so perfectly and I - neither then nor now - can find anything particularly "Satanic" in them.
Doesn't get much simpler than that.
There'll be much more to say on this topic in months to come.
For now, enjoy all the fun that was this first meeting with Bob Larson.
